Broadway previews begin March 12, 2027.
Purple Rain will open at Broadway’s Majestic Theatre, located at 245 W 44th St, New York, NY 10036.
There’s no official dress code at the Majestic Theatre. Some audience members prefer to dress more casually (e.g., blue jeans), while others prefer business casual or cocktail attire. Clothing at all performances should be comfortable and appropriate for a public event. Please note that the theatre is air conditioned during the summer months.
During the performance, the use of cameras, cell phones, and other recording devices is prohibited by law, except when used for accessibility purposes. Before the show, during intermission, and after the show, you’re welcome to take pictures and share your experience, but please follow all instructions from theatre staff to ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
No weapons are permitted on the premises. Outside food and drink, electric scooters, e-bikes, and battery powered transportation devices are also prohibited, except when medically necessary.
Although parts of the Majestic Theatre are not wheelchair accessible, there are no steps leading from the sidewalk to the theatre. Please be advised that where there are steps within the theatre, we are unable to provide assistance.

ORCHESTRA: There are steps to the Orchestra beginning with row I. There are no steps to the designated wheelchair seating location. There are no steps to rows AA – H.
MEZZANINE: The mezzanine is located on the theatre’s second level, up 3 flights (51 steps). Please Note: On the Mezzanine level, there are approximately 2 steps up/down per row. Entrance to the Mezzanine is behind row G of the front Mezzanine.
Handrails are available at every stepped row, except in the Mezzanine and Rear Orchestra, where handrails are only available on the far side aisles.
